Jeannie Newby

Bob Foos
The editor of the local newspaper, The Webb City Sentinel, Bob's photojournalism talents have earned him a place in the Missouri Photojournalism Hall of Fame.
Jane Benson Mrs. Benson's book, "Ballet Class", is a novel about her life as a dance instructor and includes advice for tweens and their parents.
Artists
John Biggs
John is one of Webb City's many talented artists. He painted a mural on the side of the Bruner Pharmacy building on the corner of Main and Daugherty and more murals are in the works for the outside of the new Route 66 Visitors Center and his realistic paintings are very well done. Jack Dawson
Jack is an extraordinary artist with a flair for patriotism and religion. The hidden images in his paintings delight many and are a tribute to his talent. The praying hands, an icon for Webb City and one of the first things a visitor sees when entering the city from the east, is an example of his items of sculpture and the enormity of his talent. Rebecca Perry
Rebecca is a talented mixed-media sculpturist. Her use of everyday, ordinary items to form the sculptures showcase her vivid imagination. She has won multiple awards for her art and her exhibits can be seen in several fine-art galleries. Click the 'Artists' tab on the left for some of Rebecca's art.
Aston Stovern
Aston paints but loves to create sculptures using steel. Her works have been exhibited in 6 states and has won several awards. At Christmas time, people drive by her house to see her metal decorations. Her 'shooting star' sculpture hanging in a tree in her front yard is the talk of the town.
