Webb City, Missouri is located on historic Route 66 on the Ozark Plateau in the Southwest corner of Missouri. It is approximately 200 miles southwest of the center of population of the United States and near the geographical center of the country.  Located next to Joplin, five miles east of the Kansas state line, eight miles northeast of the Oklahoma state line and 40 miles north of the Arkansas state line; Webb City provides convenient access to most of the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Webb City’s housing renaissance began in the late 1980s with the creation of several new developments. There are numerous new housing developments in various stages of construction in Webb City and the surrounding area. In addition, Webb City can boast both new multi-family housing and fine renovated downtown apartments. Older neighborhoods are experiencing a boom in new in-fill construction. The fine reputation of the school district, the attraction of small town life, safe neighborhoods, and a low cost of living drive the demand for Webb City housing.

Accredited for Distinction in Performance by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the district’s commitment to education is apparent in every aspect of school life. The dedication of the school board, administration, faculty and staff is matched by the citizens of the district who have approved funding for $22.5 million in facilities construction since 1992, including three new elementary buildings, improvements and additions to the Carterville Elementary School, junior high and high school buildings, outstanding technology in all buildings.
