The Webb City Police Department is accepting applications for the position of part time Communication Officer

Minimum criteria to be eligible for hire as a Communication Officer:

·         Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent;

·         and valid driver’s license;

·         Minimum 18 years of age;

·         No previous felony convictions or misdemeanors involving domestic violence or moral turpitude;

·         Successful completion of the departmental testing process, a final background and pre-employment drug screening.

Prefer (but do not require) Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System (MULES) certification.

Applicants who successfully complete the written and oral portions of the testing, which involve a preliminary background check, will be placed on a “pre-qualified” list for one calendar year.  As vacancies occur for Communication Officers, and the applicant has attained the qualifications listed above, selected candidates will be subjected to an oral examination, a final background check, including a computerized voice stress examination, and a pre-employment physical, psychological, and drug screening. 

 

Those applicants, who have applied within the past twelve months and have not been successfully hired, need not re-apply.  The City of Webb City reserves the right to remove any applicant from the eligibility list without cause.

 

Salary: Salary may vary based on experience.  Starting salary = $11.21 – 15.03 per hour.
